Fifth Edition of Algeria Energy Week,
Oran, 28 Nov - 2 Dec, 2010
I have the pleasure to invite you to participate to the Fifth Edition of Algeria Energy Week to be organized by the Energy and Mines Sector in Oran, on Oran, 28 Nov - 2 Dec, 2010.
I would be happy to welcome you to this great event which now features high on the agenda of scientific and technical meetings and of the international hydrocarbons, Energy and mines business appointments, in general.
We made sure that each of its editions provides leaders, managers, specialists and experts involved in the development of this field, as the driving force of the global economy and a source of wealth and well-being to the whole of humanity, a framework for exchange and discussion, updating and forecast analysis, everything it needs to cope with the new and difficult challenges of the coming era.
Concerned about these requirements, we have chosen to put all the points constituting the Fifth Edition of Algeria Energy Week under the following generic subject matter: “Energy in a world in recession: challenges and Opportunities”
We cannot indeed remain indifferent to the financial crisis impacts on our industry and to the global economic recession it has spawned.
When hopes to get out of it are emerging, the institutional and economic actors involved or in relation with our huge scope of activity will undoubtedly have many ideas and ambitions to share to overcome the present economic situation effects and take into account the structural data to open new horizons for Energy in this nascent century.
Also, we will make available exhibition areas for your achievements and innovations, oral communications areas, as well as workshops offering reflection and discussion where operators and decision-makers will express themselves both on strategies and policies and on technologies and techniques.
Exchanges that have been initiated previously, more especially last year during the Fourth Week, on the opportunities, terms and rates of investment or on new and renewable energies including civil nuclear energy, will most likely experience particular developments on the back of changes recorded internationally and progress made in Algeria.
The Strategic Conference, the Scientific and Technical Days and the Aloge Exhibition…will be in this regard, and as usual, the specific melting pot in which will crystallize ideas built on progress and development projects for hydrocarbons, electricity, nuclear power, mining, services and related industries and of course for the training of human resources for which we also hold here the highest regard.
So welcome to the Fifth Edition of Algeria Energy Week and I will be pleased to see you take part to this great forum.
